That makes them considerably more expensive.

As with all fancy colored, natural black diamond has the same crystalline structure and chemical properties, as white. It is made of crystalline carbon and the hardest natural substance known to mankind. This means that it can not be cut or scratched harder than diamonds. However, inclusions and impurities contained in the structure of the black diamond make it more likely to fracture and splinter in the cutting process than its counterpart, white, black, although as a rule, heavier-fold reduction.

Natural black color comes from countless microscopic particles of carbon graphite, smoky, hematite and magnetite, were trapped inside the crystal lattice structure of the gemstone at its formation. Because they are an integral part of the lattice structure, these particles are known as inclusion, rather than contaminants. High concentrations of inclusions cloud formation of diamonds. They absorb light and give the gem its rich black metallic exterior and intense shine.

Because of their deep color comes from inclusions, and not an impurity, which will produce high localized distortion of the colors, nearly all the black diamonds are opaque. However, translucent and transparent stones to form, and when found, they are considered very valuable reality.

Natural Blacks were discovered and mined in Australia, some parts of Africa and in Venezuela and Brazil. Surprisingly, however, they are seen as more than 3 billion years! This is strange, because it means the black diamond, significantly older than whites, which are only about 1 billion years old! How it happened is unclear. But the consequences of the Meteor is now believed to have played a role in shaping the natural black population, which were subsequently brought to the Earth’s surface during volcanic eruptions!

Because of its rarity, the majority of black diamonds used in modern jewelry were expanded. Strengthening the process, which mimics the natural formation of precious stones, reveals a genuine, mined samples for intense heat and radiation. This strengthens and darkens their natural colors and an elegant black diamonds!
